Masako Nakahira

Born in Shiga Prefecture in 1979. Graduated from Kyoto Seika University, Graduate School of Fine Arts, majoring in plastic arts.
She paints transient and fleeting scenes as motifs in oil paint such as worlds reflected on the surface of water, familiar landscapes, and scenes that have been seen somewhere before. Only limited information is painted precisely, and the surrounding area is left ambiguous. The delicate and beautiful depiction of the scene is extended to the parts that are not actually painted, by the memories and imagination of each viewer.
