We are delighted to announce that Galerie Taménaga Osaka will present an exhibition ≪♬≫ from 28 September to 4 November 2024. This exhibition brings together 30 works by 11 artists, all inspired by the theme of music. It features pieces by great modern masters who often depicted musical scenes, such as Raoul Dufy, Marie Laurencin, Marc Chagall, and Juan Gris, as well as other contemporary French painters.
Many of these artists not only loved listening to music but also played instruments themselves. Their works often pay tribute to composers or celebrate the art of sound. They also had a deep appreciation for theater and dance, and their paintings capture scenes from plays, ballet, and tango.
Music, which uplifts the spirit and brings joy, is an essential part of life. These artists express the beauty and happiness of living through music in their paintings. We hope you will take this opportunity to immerse yourself in the melodies and scenes they have depicted.
