NOUVEL HORIZON JAPON
PARIS
開催概要
ギャルリーためながパリでは、3月21日(木)~4月13日(日)までNouvel Horizon Japonを開催いたします。
Established in 1969 in Tokyo, Galerie Taménaga has risen to become a true bridge between Japan and France, facilitating cultural exchanges between these two nations. Since its inception, it has been passionately committed to showcasing a diversity of French artists, whether they are modern or contemporary, in Japan. Conversely, it has recently opened its doors to Japanese artists within its Parisian gallery, thereby providing a prestigious platform to showcase their talent.
In this spirit, a series of exhibitions known as the Nouvelle ère du Japon (New Era of Japan) was inaugurated ten years ago. Recently renamed Nouvel Horizon Japon (New Horizon Japan), this initiative remains true to its original mission: to highlight the emerging talent of young Japanese artists, some of whom have not yet had the opportunity to exhibit beyond the borders of their country. This exhibition offers the public the opportunity to discover this burgeoning art scene in Japan and provides a unique perspective on the country’s contemporary artistic creation.
Going beyond the scope of a simple exhibition, this event proves to be a true stepping stone for some, providing artists with the space and legitimacy necessary to showcase their work beyond the Japanese archipelago. Many artists have since initiated fruitful and lasting collaborations with Galerie Taménaga thanks to this initiative, including Daiya Yamamoto, Kengo Nakamura, Maiko Kitagawa, Naoya Egawa, and Tamihito Yoshikawa.
By fostering the growth of a relatively unknown and internationally inaccessible Japanese artistic scene, Galerie Taménaga plays an essential role in the development and promotion of these promising talents that we invite you to discover.
